Serve with pasta
› 1 large onion, finely chopped
› 2–3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
› 2 dstsp of tomato puree
› 400 g tin of chopped tomatoes
› pinch of black pepper
2. Fry the onion and garlic until golden brown
3. Add a little water and tomato puree to the pan
4. Cook for a few minutes
5. Add this mixture to the minced meat and mix well
6. Shape into meatballs with damp hands
7. Drain any excess fat from the pan or gently pat meatballs with kitchen
paper to remove any excess fat
8. Add the tin of chopped tomatoes to the frying pan and season
with pepper
9. Cook the meatballs gently in the frying pan for 15–20 minutes,
turning occasionally
